Cloning Production Site to Test Site
The following instructions are there to help you clone a copy of the Production Site onto another server to be used as a test environment. The steps can also be followed to clone major changes under development to production once a client has approved of the new changes.
It includes:
- How to download site content such as the source files and database
- Brief instructions on how to backup a site
- How to save a site’s server connection information
- How to import site content to a new server while maintaining that server’s connection information
